2nd Monday Lecture Series with Stan Foxworthy

July 9th at 7:00 p.m.

Stan Foxworthy, Photographer and CEO of Foxworthy Studios, has invested more than 30 years in practicing his craft.  Extensively self-taught from years of personal study, Stan began his photography career professionally in 1976 as a freelance photojournalist. Over the next three decades, Stan has continued to hone his proactive photography skills though weddings, Debutante Balls, theatrical portraiture, products and travel. His range of work showcases his diversity—his images have graced the pages of numerous national publications, from the Miami Herald to Vintage Motorsports, with clients including Celestial Seasonings, Samsonite, Palo Duro Hardwood Floors and Michelin North America.

Stan has also been on the other side of the coin as a Marketing professional, directing photo shoots and marketing campaigns including products, actors, politicians & musicians. Knowing what a client needs from a technical standpoint is every bit as important as artistic merit, and Stan will showcase a wide variety of imagery, from commercial products, Motorsports, weddings to creating compelling art with limited gear, describing how he reached the final product and why they are special to his clients (as well as to him!).

• Being proactive with light and being able to light anything
• Breaking out of the creative rut & why you need a 50mm lens
• Creating compelling portraits in 3 minutes or less
