Dan Hale
While working as a staff photographer at The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and The Charlotte Observer, Dan Hale photographed birth, war, and everything in between. His images and multimedia stories have been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, The Associated Press, Editor and Publisher Magazine, the Southern Short Course in News Photography, and the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.
Dan received a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Media Studies – Moving Image and Sound Production from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an Associates Degree in Photojournalism from Randolph Community College.
He now lives and works with his wife and best friend Amelia Phillips Hale in Charleston.
